Please reach out to  sean@realfoodshare.org as soon as possible if you are interested.

Partner Opportunities

Food insecurity is rising, and there is far more demand for food that we alone can produce. Real Food Share is committed to developing a hyper-local, sustainable food system that produces healthy food for everyone.  We are starting in Newtown, CT and seek to build a network of partners in our region to help those in need.

The more food we grow, the more we can donate.  If you are in Newtown and think your organization may be interested in becoming a production, education, or distribution partner please let us know.

Our efforts to provide the most nutritious food for our community will go farther and faster with your support.  Let us know if you or your company are interested in sponsoring part of our project.

We are excited to partner with like-minded organizations that are trying to make an impact in getting healthy food to people that need it.  We’d be happy to share data, techniques, strategies and more. Let us know if you want to team up.

More than ever there is a need for a localized food system.  If you are an individual or group that wants to create a chapter of Real Food Share, based on your town’s needs and available resources, please reach out to us to start the executive planning process.

Local Farmers

Message to local farmers:

You are the most important players in our local food system. Your work and efforts are invaluable. We have strategies and solutions to donate your surplus produce to local food pantries. If your farm, or farmers market you attend, is within a 15-mile radius of Newtown, CT, we are offering to pick up your excess harvest, and deliver it directly to those in need in our area. Not only will your food donations help people in need, you can also earn tax deductions at the end of the year.

We can pick up your excess produce at Farmers Markets, or any location where you have food to dispose of on your schedule. We will weigh and track all of your donations and provide information you will need for tax deduction purposes.  We will also provide an end of year letter summarizing the amount you have donated.

If you are interested in partnering with us, please contact me for more details.

Thank you for your time and all that you do for our local food system!

Real Food Share runs on the heart and soul of volunteers. Your donation will go toward the costs of our production operations, transportation of food donations, community education, young farmer interns, and the construction of an amazing local food hub.
